Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives were dispatched to investigate.

The fatal shooting came a day after a man was shot and killed at 8:55 p.m. Monday in the 4600 block of Imperial Highway, between Hawthorne Boulevard and Inglewood Avenue, said Deputy Kelvin Moody of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

Hawthorne police, who requested the assistance of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau in the investigation, learned that the victim was involved in an argument with two men. One of the suspects shot at the victim, who ran to the 11500 block of Eucalyptus Avenue where he collapsed, Moody said.
