The University of Phoenix stadium isn’t the only thing preparing to light up for this Sunday's Super Bowl.
A Seattle-based medical marijuana dispensary is preparing 12,000 joints for Seahawks fans ahead of the big game, according to NBC affiliate KING5. That works out to roughly 180 to 220 joints produced during an eight-hour workday — double the dispensary’s normal pace.
“It’s not like I go home with cramps or anything,” pre-roll aficionado and Solstice employee Katy Fillippone told the station.
The “12th Pack” joints, which are only being sold to medical marijuana users, will be filled with a special “Seahawks Blend,” KING5 reported. The name for the joints is a play on the 12th man — a nickname referring to football fans.
“We definitely weren’t ready for the speed of it,” employee Joe Santucci told KING5. “We’ve had to switch everything over. We have stopped trimming. We have stopped packing capsules.”
Solstice isn’t the only Seattle dispensary playing the game.
Last season, marijuana delivery service Green Umbrella rolled out a homemade concoction named after star running back Marshawn Lynch, called “Beast Mode O.G,” NBC News reported. This year, they have prepared Beast Mode 2.0.
The New England Patriots are set to take on the Seattle Seahawks live from Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, Feb. 1, airing on NBC.
