Police in London have a man in custody after he went on a rampage Wednesday night with a knife — killing a woman and injuring as many as six others, NBC News reported.
The suspect was described as a 19-year-old man who was under police guard in a hospital. They are calling the incident a possible terrorist attack.
"Terrorism is one possibility being explored at this stage," police said, adding that extra officers remain in the area as a precaution.
The Metropolitan Police said the man was arrested about 10:40 p.m. (5:40 p.m. ET) after he was brought down with a Taser in Russell Square, near the British Museum.
