One person was detained after a search that followed a pursuit Wednesday in Whittier.
The pursuit, which began after a traffic violation, ended near Bloomfield Avenue and Rosecrans Avenue at approximately 12:45 a.m. Both occupants left the car and fled the scene on foot, with one of the vehicle's passengers armed.
With K-9 assistance, officials were able to detain one of the vehicle's occupants. The other is outstanding.
