Police say a dead body was found in a car that investigators believe was towed and left on a residential street in Los Angeles.
It happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday in the Westlake neighborhood.
Los Angeles police say it appears the black Hyundai sedan had been towed and then left on the street.
Officers who responded to a 911 call found a body inside the car.
Detectives are still trying to determine how the person died. The coroner has identified the victim, according to police, but the 40-year-old man's identity was not immediately released.
Police could not immediately provide any additional information. They say the investigation is continuing.
