Police Identify Victim of Early Morning Pasadena Shooting

No suspects have been identified yet in the fatal shooting of 35-year-old Luis Arita of Los Angeles.

A 35-year-old man was shot and killed early Tuesday in Pasadena, police reported.

Officers responded about 1:25 a.m. to a call of shots fired in the 300 block of East Villa Street and located the victim, later identified as Luis Arita of Los Angeles, in a parked vehicle. He had been shot multiple times, according to Pasadena police Lt. Jesse Carrillo.
Paramedics pronounced Arita, who had ties to Pasadena, dead at the scene, Carrillo said.

The motive for the killing was unknown and no suspects have been identified, the lieutenant said.
