Two Arrested in FBI, LAPD in North Hills Anti-Gang Operation

Two people identified by authorities as murder suspects were arrested Thursday in North Hills as agents served warrants in the San Fernando Valley community.

Authorities responded to the 8900 block of Langdon Avenue at about 5 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The anti-gang raid was a joint operation involving the FBI and Los Angeles police.

Video from NewsChopper4 showed residents lined, some covered in blankets, along a wall outside an apartment complex. Several people were questioned and released.

Details about the two men arrested, identified as brothers in their early 20s, and the murder investigation were not immediately available.

Residents initially reported the sound of gunfire, but it turned out to be the sound of flash-bang grenades used by responding law enforcement officers.

No gunfire was exchanged, according to the FBI.

NBC4 is attempting to gather more information about the investigation.
