Dodger Fans, Booze, Parking Lots Don't Mix, Says LAPD

Tailgating is fine. Hitting the sauce is not.

Tuesday marked the first home game of the season for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

It also marked the beginning of a new crackdown by the LAPD to curb drinking in the parking lot.

"This year we're going to take a different approach to it. We're going to start the enforcement of no drinking and parking provisions right off the bat," LAPD Captain Dave Lindsay told LAist.

Extra patrols were policing the parking lot before the game, and officials made it clear that they're no longer just issuing warnings. Now, they're going right to citations, the Los Angeles Times reported.
