It would be great to be proved wrong on this one.
Hopes were not high for Spike Lee’s upcoming documentary “Kobe Doin’ Work” for several reasons. First, we saw Miracle at St. Anna and now fear that a man who had once been a favorite director has lost it. Secondly, this is partially an ESPN production, which means a bunch of suits in Bristol looking to justify their existence were going to try to tinker with it.
But maybe, just maybe, this is going to be good. Unless you’re going to the Tribeca film festival, you’ve got to wait a month to find out. In the short term, check out the clips and decide for yourself.
