Yasiel Puig and Dee Gordon, two of the Dodgers steadiest players this season, both left Saturday’s 10 inning, 5-4 loss to the Rockies with hip injuries.
Gordon was taken out in the fourth with what the club said was discomfort in his right hip. The second baseman told Ken Gurnick of MLB.com he felt better after several hours of treatment.
"When I tried to run, it felt weird. I can't explain it. But I should be all right. I'm fine,” he said.

Gordon was 0 for 2 before he left the game. He was replaced by Chone Figgins.
A bigger scare came in the fifth inning when Puig had to be removed.

Puig hurt his hip in the fourth inning sliding into second base while trying to break up a double-play on an Adrian Gonzalez grounder. The 23-year-old slugger struck out in his first at bat but walked in the fourth to extend his on-base streak to 38 consecutive games.
Scott Van Slyke took Puig’s place in right field.
Dodgers manager Don Mattingly told reporters afterward that he doesn’t believe the injuries will keep either player out for significant time.
"The fact that there's no further tests scheduled at this point leads me to believe, at least hopefully, that these are day-to-day issues and not long-term issues."
The Dodgers are 32-31, nine games back of the San Francisco Giants in the NL West.
