Two Southern California beach volleyball teams are in the London Olympics semifinals

Group stage play is over and several Southern California athletes are competing in knockout competitions Tuesday at the London Olympics.

Two beach volleyball teams have semifinal matchups, which could lead to an all-Southern California final. On the track, SoCal's Carmelita Jeter and Allyson Felix will attempt to advance to the 200m final.

Women's Basketball: United States v. Canada
The United States has won 39 consecutive Olympics contests. Chino's Diana Taurasi scored 15 points to lead the United States to a 91-48 win over Canada.

Women's Water Polo: United States v. Australia, Semifinal
The two teams have met -- usually with a medal at stake -- at every Olympics since women's water polo debuted at Sydney in 2000. The U.S. defeated Australia 11-9 in overtime after Australia tied the game on a penalty, given after the United States coach called a timeout when his squad did not have the ball.

Women's Beach Volleyball: May-Treanor/Walsh Jennings; Kessy/Ross, Semifinals
Wins by the two U.S. team would set up an all-Southern California final. May-Treanor and Walsh Jennings swept Xue Chen and Zhang Xi, of China, in the early match. OC's Jen Kessy and April Ross face Brazil's Larissa Franca and Juliana Felisberta.

Men's 3m Diving: Troy Dumais
Ventura's Dumais won bronze in men's 3m synchro, and he was third in the 3m springboard prelims. He has never finished higher than sixth in three previous Olympics.

Women's Volleyball: United States v. Dominican Republic, Quarterfinal
The United States is just three wins from its first women's indoor volleyball gold medal.

Track and Field: Women's 200m, Semifinals
Gardena's Carmelita Jeter already won silver in the 100m. Her competition in the 200m,includes Santa Clarita's Allyson Felix and 400m gold medalist Sanya Richards Ross.
