Search crews were working to locate a possible missing swimmer in the water near Will Rogers Beach Wednesday night, authorities said.
A call came in reporting a missing swimmer around 9:11 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. A person thought they saw someone in the water, though it may have been wildlife, the fire department said.
No one on location reported a missing person, the LA County Fire Departments said.
Newschopper4 Alpha observed at least one helicopter and one life boats assisting in the search for the possible possible missing swimmer around 9:30 p.m.
Los Angeles County Lifeguards determined there was no missing swimmer and called off the search around 10:37 p.m., according to NBCLA's Robert Kovacik at the scene.
