A transition on the 55 Freeway in Tustin was closed early Thursday morning after a vehicle rolled over, killing two people and injuring one, authorities said.
The single-vehicle crash was reported around 12:11 a.m. on the northbound 55 Freeway connector to the southbound 5 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The vehicle spun out of control and rolled over, killing two occupants and injuring one person who was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
Around 6 a.m., CHP said the northbound 55 Freeway connector to the southbound 5 Freeway was reopened.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
