Pin-Up For Vets is a nonprofit organization that creates World War II-style calendars using female veterans as models to fundraise for the care of servicemen and women. This year, 19 female veterans will be featured.

The calendars have been published for 14 years, and the nonprofit has donated more than $60,000 to veterans' affairs hospitals to help purchase equipment and fund veteran resources.

Many of the models said the World War II pin-up aesthetic has helped them reclaim their femininity post-service, in addition to continuing their efforts to help active servicemen and women, according to the Pin-Ups For Vets Newsletter.

The nonprofit organization also gives female veterans and military wives "morale-boosting pin-up makeovers" to show their appreciation for them. They ship care packages to troops and work with homeless veteran shelters to host events and donate gifts and clothing.
