A high school in Whittier was locked down Wednesday after a student was stabbed, according to the Whittier Police Department.
The stabbing was reported about 9:40 a.m. near Frontier High School, Whittier Police Officer Brad White said.
The victim, a Frontier High School student, was stabbed multiple times in the shoulder, White said. It was not immediately clear if the stabbing happened on or off campus.
The school was locked down as of 11 a.m. while police searched for the attacker.
