The California Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a woman in South El Monte.
The death in the area of Rosemead Boulevard and Rush Street occurred a little after 5 a.m., the CHP said. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the car that hit the woman fled the scene.
The name of the woman has not been revealed as the CHP continues its investigation.
