The Justice Department says it will investigate the LA County Sheriff's Department. Specifically, the Palmdale and Lancaster Stations.
The Justice Department says the probe will center on alleged civil rights violations against residents of government subsidized housing.
According to the complaint, elected leaders in the Antelope Valley have allegedly tried to force minorities out of so-called "Section 8" government subsidized housing.
And the complaint says, inspections of government subsidized residents has involved armed Sheriff's Deputies, adding an element of intimidation.
