For 40 years, St. Francis Center has provided hunger relief to homeless and extremely low-income families and individuals in Los Angeles.
St. Francis Center is more than just a soup kitchen or a food pantry. We treat people with dignity because we believe dignity restores hope and leads to positive change. We serve so much more than meals. We're serving hope.
The Center’s small staff distributes over one million of pounds of food through our programs. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting every aspect of SFC’s daily operations, from working directly with homeless and extremely low-income program guests, to helping organize donations of food and clothing, and even providing administrative assistance.
