SeaWorld San Diego says rescuers are currently treating nine sea lions that were poisoned with domoic acid; one of the marine mammals in their care has already died.

Best Friend the penguin was hatched in 1984. SeaWorld says the average macaroni penguin is lucky to live 15 years in the wild, 30 years in captivity.

The jellyfish will be on display in multiple aquariums, including an 18-foot tall cylinder set to be one of the country’s tallest and a 10-foot arch that SeaWorld says is designed to provide guests with varying angles of the creatures.

A loggerhead sea turtle is back in the ocean following months of rehabilitation.

Howl-O-Scream runs Friday, Sept. 27 on select nights through Nov. 2.

The calf was dehydrated and malnourished by the time hunters spotted it and reported it to ALSC, who got permission from U.S. Fish & Wildlife to effect a rescue
