    Curbed Reader Comment Round Up

The best posts usually originate in our comments. To give appreciation to our amazing (and sometimes angry) commenters we feature their broad strokes of wisdom in a tidy comment roundup.

    1) Park Wilshire Opens Doors, Reveals Peachy Self: "I used to laugh when these kinds of developments were posted on Curbed. Now I'm worried. What will happen to the bad debt used to finance the construction? How many more ugly, overpriced developments like this are out there, sitting empty?"

    2) Afternoon Thinkage: Are LA's Parking Minimums Hindering The City?: "The city really needs to come up with a memorable campaign and strategy to make it both cool and responsible to use public transportation. Like NY had the "I Heart New York" campaign. We have some of the world's top filmmakers, PR people, and advertising gurus, who can be enlisted to create a campaign that makes it look fun to take public transportation. A good leader is needed. That Villaraigosa transpo guy unapologetically drives a Hummer is disgraceful. I know this sounds goofy and idealistic, but this will take a coordinated effort of government, celebrities, and the people."

3)What It Sold For: David Hertz Saves Venice Real Estate Market? "They're bragging about $5k over list on a $3.2M sale? That's what, 0.15%. Wow. That's like bragging about getting an extra $500 on a $320k property. Anyone following the economic news lately who still believes that Westside RE prices will be immune is an idiot."
