BEVERLY HILLS: What is that about history not repeating itself, but rhyming? Eater offers us a preview of Luau, opening today on Bedford Ave. Rather than replicate the original Luau's tiki decor, the new place is a contemporary homage, but they kept the rum drinks.
HOLLYWOOD: Despite Goa and Charcoal's recent closing, Adolfo Suaya is close to opening Bar Delux, an Art Deco-inspired bar on Cahuenga. Eater gives us a sneak peak at the design: 'mahogany wood paneling, marble bar, backlit mural, dripping crystal chandeliers, the 'ladies lounge' upstairs."
HOLLYWOOD: Everyone needs a gimmick. Big Mama's & Papa's Pizza is going for the Guinness World Record for biggest pie. If you can fit it through your door, the pizzeria will deliver a 2916-square inch pizza for $199.99 that feeds 50-70 people. Toppings cost extra.
