Pacific Northwest Syndrome: Not Just Blayne, Palin Also a Tanorexic

So, Palin's rosy glow is not natural or makeup-induced. HuffPost reports that Palin had a tanning bed installed in the Governor's Mansion, which was reported by Narco News and then confirmed by Politico. Chief Communications Officer of AK's Department of Transportation and Public Facilities Roger Wetherell told Narco News: "The governor did have a tanning bed put in the Governor's Mansion...It was done shortly after she took office [in early 2007] and moved into the mansion." Wetherell then noted to Politico that Palin paid for it out of her own pocket. Seriously, how often is this woman—our potential VP!—tanning if she has a tanning bed in her home?

We can't help but notice the geographic proximity of Palin in Alaska and this season's Project Runway contestant Blayne from Washington State, also an avid tanner. Though the need for sun in dreary, gray, wet weather is understandable, the fact that everyone knows it's completely fake kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? We can accept this from aspiring designer Blayne, but between this and Palin's Naughty Monkey pumps, we're feeling like Michael Kors confronted with Blayne's losing look: "It was a disaster."
