Hot cars and savvy shoppers filled the Petersen Automotive Museum at the Miracle Mile Thursday night to enjoy the Sassy City Chicks Fashion Bash.
The trunks of the cars were filled with clothes, and the bargains were bumper to bumper.
"If you don't come to one of these events you have missed out," promises Leshawn Anderson, shopper.
Twice a year for the past decade, ladies come to purchase and to party at the museum.
"It's like coming to a women's Disneyland. There's designer discounts. Discounts up to 80% off. Free cocktails, free spa services. It's just the best girl's night out you can think of," according to Jenna Watson, Event Coordinator.
Giving the meaning of the "Trunk Show" a whole new twist is sponsor General Motors, trying to reinvent the company by displaying their new all electric Chevy Volt, with some unique marketing.
"The goals of the new GM is to try and take the cars to where they are. It's really a new way for us to try to get into their daily lives, to come and surprise them in ways that they normally wouldn't think about," says Shad Balch, General Motors Spokesperson.
Showcases at the event were a Chevrolet Traverse and Buick Regal with open trunks full of colorful designer merchandise. Also women could test drive new Chevy and Buick vehicles, along with experiencing chauffeured ride-alongs.
Featured designers included Hudson, Young Fabulous & Broke, Blue Feather, Paige Premium Denim, and Rock & Republic, among others. Complimentary cocktail sampling and spa services were also on hand for the ultimate girls night out, and just in time for holiday shopping too.
