Happy 10th Anniversary, OC Restaurant Week

Choose from 150 restaurants during the 7-day delish-tacular.

IF YOU'RE THE SORT OF PERSON... who studies menus online, or who pauses to read the specials chalkboard when you're sauntering by a restaurant you've heard about, then a Restaurant Week presents a delicious but notable challenge. After all, the menus for dozens of established restaurants, many you may already know well, do change up for the special event. Well, wait one second; the actual standard menu doesn't change at the eatery, but, rather, a special Restaurant Week line-up of dishes is added to the mix for a few days. Which means this, menu mavens: You have to pore over a whole new set of dishes and prices each and every Restaurant Week, to see how your favorite go-tos are changing it up in honor of the special event. And studying the menus of 150 restaurants around Orange County? We're encouraging you to jump into this pleasurable pursuit, ASAP, for the 10th annual...

ORANGE COUNTY RESTAURANT WEEK... is now open. It debuted on Sunday, March 4, and it will conclude on Saturday, March 10, and memorizing all of the participants, not to mention their menus, is probably impossible, unless you devote an hour or two to it now. Fly N Fish Oyster Bar & Grill in Newport Beach, Heirloom Farmhouse Kitchen in Irvine, Lumberyard in Laguna Beach, and The Bungalow Restaurant in Corona del Mar are all on the list, just to get you started. As for the prices for the prix fixe lunches and dinners? Those are $20 and $30, respectively, at Cedar Creek Inn in San Juan Capistrano, but do check the places you hope to go to see what a multi-course meal out will cost. As for the menus to study? Find them here. As for learning all of the Restaurant Week dishes available? No one would dare task you with such a thing, but if you adore menus, trying new cafes or dining rooms, and supporting local businesses, Restaurant Week is just the thing for you.
