Katie Holmes is getting "Romantic."

Katie Holmes is about to get "Romantic"… with Anna Paquin and Josh Duhamel.

Holmes has replaced Liv Tyler in the comedy "The Romantics," according to Variety. Not only will Holmes star in the film, but she'll also executive produce.

The movie, which also stars Paquin, Duhamel, Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood and Adam Brody, follows eight friends from college who reunite for a wedding.

Paquin will play the bride while Holmes will play her maid of honor – and both of them have history with the groom (Duhamel).

Filming is scheduled to begin this week in New York.

Holmes currently has two films awaiting release – "The Extra Man," a comedy alongside Kevin Kline, Paul Dano and John C. Reilly; and the horror remake "Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark," opposite Guy Pearce.

The actress last appeared on the big screen in the 2008 comedy "Mad Money."
