Amy Winehouse Makes Surprise Appearance At V Festival
Singer gives surprise performance at festival

Amy Winehouse has returned to the stage.
In footage of the surprise appearance already posted to YouTube, the controversial star joined the Specials for a medley of the band's "You're Wondering Now" and "Ghost Town" at the V Festival in Chelmsford, England on Saturday.

"It's the Specials!" she shouted to the crowd during an instrumental break, urging applause for the reformed ska band.
The singer was a commanding presence on the stage, singing strongly and looking healthy months after her much-publicized hospitalizations and battles with drugs.

It was Amy's first concert appearance in the UK since a less successful outing a year earlier at the festival, where the singer appeared on stage looking gaunt.
She has spent much of the last year vacationing in St. Lucia recovering from various health and drug woes. She was granted a divorce from husband Blake Fielder-Civil, the source of the inspiration for her album "Back to Black," on July 16.
