Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said tips from the public helped lead to the arrest of a suspect who allegedly robbed a man outside a convenience store while holding a 3-year-old boy in his arms.
Sheriff's officials identified the suspect as Jeremy Gallegos. He was arrested Thursday and booked on suspicion of robbery and child endangerment.
He'sbeing held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
Deputies said the suspected robber was holding the boy when he ordered a man outside a convenience store last month to hand over his wallet and two cans of beer he'd just purchased. The suspect allegedly lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun in his waistband.
