Showers to Arrive Tuesday Morning: Showers are expected this morning and steady rain  later today, with forecasters predicting less than an inch in coastal areas. More than 2 inches is possible in the storm-test foothills, but  forecasters predict most areas will get between a quarter- and half-inch. The  storm could produce moderate to heavy rain for a 3-6 hour period, according to  the National Weather Service. LA Times

Magic Mushroom Bust in Lancaster: Deputies went to investigate a trespassing call at a  vacant house and found a man and a woman growing psychedelic mushrooms and  stealing electricity to do it, a sheriff's sergeant said early today.   Joseph  Scott Jackson, 37, and Angela Coffey, 41, were being held at the sheriff's  Lancaster Station jail. Carrizosa said. Their bail was set at $50,000 each,  according to jail records.Daily Breeze
