Shop Owner Found With Gunshot Wound to Head in Van Nuys

Police responded to a missing persons call at a business in Van Nuys on Friday

Homicide detectives on Friday were investigating the death of a wireless accessories store business owner whose body was found in the Van Nuys shop with a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said they hadn't turned up a weapon in the case at a Van Nuys business where the owner was found on Friday afternoon.

Police were called out on a missing persons call before 3 p.m. to 405 Wireless Accessories at Saticoy Street and Sepulveda Boulevard.

The business owner's family said he talked to his wife over the phone late Thursday night but never came home.

When officers arrived, the front glass door was locked, so they broke through the glass.

Police are treating it as a homicide but say it's too early to rule out suicide, said LAPD Capt. Ivan Minsal.

"We're still trying to figure out what happened," he said.
