Police on Saturday were investigating the discovery of a body inside an SUV parked at an Irwindale gas station.
The body was reported about 2:50 p.m. at an Arco gas station at Longden Avenue and Peck Road, Irwindale Police Department officials said. The woman was found slumped behind the wheel of the car, which was next to a gas pump.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release her name because her family had not been notified of her death.
Initial reports indicate that the body had been in the SUV for an extended period of time, fire officials said.
Police said it was unclear whether fould play was involved in her death.
