Car Crashes into Two Stores, Four Cars in Valley Village

Businesses in Valley Village were cleaning up the wreckage of a car that crashed into two stores and hit four vehicles on Thursday.

The crash happened around 4:40 pm. in a shopping center at Whitsett Avenue and Riverside Drive when the a Lexus slammed into a liquor store. The driver then backed out, hitting four cars in the parking lot and crashing into a barbershop.

"I don't know how after she broke in she come out back way all the way to the end of the parking lot," said Gabriel Melkou, who witnessed the crash.

Christopher Hird, owner of the barbershop the car crashed into, said he could hear the collisions outside before the car then smashed into his business.

"Next thing we know, the window blew open, car came in. We had people sitting in here so luckily no one got hurt," Hird said.

Police said they considered the collisions an accident.

No injuries were reported.
