Man Apologizes For Comment Against President

Jules Manson has since apologized and deleted the Facebook post that he said led Secret Service to visit him.

A Facebook comment posted by a former Carson City Council candidate this week garnered a great deal of attention in the blogosphere and allegedly resulted in a visit from the Secret Service to his home.

Jules Manson, 48, has since deleted and apologized for the post that read, “Assassinate the [expletive] and his monkey children.” The post used the "n-word."

“The Secret Service gave me a visit,” wrote Manson in a Facebook post Monday. “They must have had 30 questions. They listened to what I had to say and I even consented to a search of my home.”

Manson said he cooperated and understood the agents were simply doing their jobs and said they assured him “they want to find something if there is something to find and want to clear [him] if there is nothing.”

Manson insists he is not racist, but told ABC7 he used the “most hateful and vial words” to show his contempt for the president and his disfavor over the passage of the National Defense Authorization Act, under which terrorism suspects can be detained.

He addressed his opposition directly in a another Facebook post Monday evening.

“I have something to admit to all you good people,” he wrote. “I am very racist: an Insidious American Against Socialist Takeover. Now that I own up to my faults, please stop clutching at your pearls as you gasp for air while you get the vapors. Did your prissy virgin ears bleed at my original rant?”
