Castaic Brush Fires Quickly Put Out

Firefighters extinguished a pair of brush fires near the northbound 5 Freeway in Castaic Sunday.

The fires burned about 10 acres of brush south of the Templin Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Fire crews reported that one fire was almost extinguished and the other had slowed down dramatically around 10 a.m. The fires were knocked down before 10:30 a.m.
