The San Diego (405) Freeway was briefly shut down on the Westside of Los Angeles due to a report of an armed man on the roof of a Big Lots store, police said.
The report came out at 9:05 p.m. at the store in the 3100 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, officials said.
The call was for a disorderly man believed to be armed with a shotgun and possibly wearing a bullet-proof vest.
Police arrested the man and found not gun, but did find a knife.
