    A gunman opened fire in a crowded Westside restaurant, police said, striking a customer twice and sending patrons rushing toward the exits.

    The shooting took place about 9:20 p.m. at Super Pho & Teriyaki at 10953 Venice Blvd. in Palms, police said.

    The victim was struck in the hand and shoulder, police said. He was expected to survive his injuries.

    The gunman took off running, witnesses said.

    Police are searching for surveillance video to help in the search for the gunman.

    The motive for the shooting was unclear.
