Halloween House Light Show Returns for 8th Year Doing the ‘Time Warp'

An extravagant light show held in a Riverside neighborhood has returned for an eighth year, and this time those flashing lights and singing faces are doing the "Time Warp."

In spite of its controversial closure in recent years, the 8th annual Riverside Halloween House Light Show has returned to the 8000 block of Deercreek Drive with thousands of flashing coordinated lights.

This year, the show has added "Time Warp" to its show, joining other Halloween favorites such as "This is Halloween" and "Monster Mash."

The show was closed three years ago after Riverside Police received complaints from neighbors about the traffic and noise. But Riverside City Councilman Paul Davis worked to get city approval to continue the show.

"A lot of individuals can't afford to take their children to see an event such as this, so having the ability to come here and see it for free has been very meaningful for them," said Amber Judd, the show's original creator.

Over the years thousands of people have witnessed the light show in person or on YouTube.

The hosts of the show have encouraged attendees to pick up litter when they leave and to be respectful of neighbors. Anyone interested in volunteering to direct traffic was encouraged to message the hosts privately on the show's Facebook page

The show starts at 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday until Halloween, weather permitting, and a show is scheduled on Halloween night also.

Show times and more updated information about the shows are posted on the show's Facebook page.
