A power outage has affected more than 20,000 utility customers in the Hemet area of Riverside County.
Southern California Edison's website says the outage began at about 5:30 a.m. Friday due to what the utility called an equipment problem. The outage figure was down to 13,000 customers by about 7 a.m. and 10,000 by later Friday morning.
It was not immediately clear when power will be returned to all customers.
