Motorists Should Expect Delays Because of Israeli Prime Minister's LA Visit

Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to address 300 local Jewish community leaders at the Simon Wisenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance in LA Thursday

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Los Angeles caused major traffic delays Wednesday, and more delays are expected today.

Netanyahu’s visit caused a 5-mile backup on the southbound Pacific Coast Highway between Malibu Canyon Road and the Santa Monica (10 Freeway) Wednesday evening.

Today Netanyahu is scheduled to address 300 local Jewish community leaders at the Simon Wisenthal Center’s Museum of Tolerance in LA. Topics include the Middle East peace process and efforts to curb Iran’s Nuclear Program.

Motorists are advised to avoid the following roads Thursday:

  • Santa Monica Boulevard between the 405 Freeway and Melrose Avenue from 8 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
  • Pico Boulevard between Roxbury Drive and Castello Place from 8:45 to 10 a.m.
  • The 405 Freeway between Wilshire Boulevard and the 105 Freeway from 12:15 and 12:45 p.m.
