An evacuation was ordered at the Los Angeles Police Department Hollywood Station Friday morning after a report of a "suspicious package."

A bomb squad investigated at the station in the 1300 block of Wilcox Avenue, according to the LAPD. The station's jail area also was evacuated, but authorities later determined the item did not pose a safety threat.

Evacuations were lifted at about 10:30 a.m.

The report was received at about the same time several floors of a downtown Los Angeles building were evacuated for an unattended package investigation. The "ticking package" reported in the 500 block of Temple Street turned out to be a box of clocks.
