4 Injured in Four-Alarm Fire at Anaheim Apartment Complex

Four people suffered minor injuries after a four-alarm fire ripped through an Anaheim apartment complex on Saturday evening, damaging 22 units and displacing dozens of residents. 

The Anaheim Fire and Rescue Department said that multiple fires were burning inside the complex located on the 200 block of Rio Vista Street around 8 p.m. 

There were initially reports of people trapped inside. Four people were transported for minor injuries. 

The fire was first described as a three-alarm fire, but fire officials quickly upgraded it to a four-alarm fire. 

It took approximately 80 firefighters around 80 minutes to knock down the fire. 

The fire burned 22 apartment units and displaced 80 people. Those residents are now being assisted by the Red Cross.

Rio Vista Street was closed in both directions while firefighters battled the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
