Montebello police on Friday were searching for the driver who killed a motorcyclist after slamming into the back of the motorcycle and sending it crashing into a pole.
The crash happened at 4:45 p.m. near Washington Boulevard and Bluff Road, Montebello police said.
A tan four-door sedan traveling east on Washington Boulevard "at a high rate of speed" crashed into the motorcycle, police said. The motorcycle then collided into a pole.
The motorcyclist died at the scene, and the driver of the car was seen heading east into Pico Rivera, police said. Anyone with information should call investigators at 323-887-1313.
