    As police announced arrests on Saturday in a brazen daytime slaying at a check cashing business, mourners paid respects to the 24-year-old clerk who was gunned down.

    People began setting down flowers and candles outside the Check 'n Go store in the 12000 block of Central Avenue in Chino to remember Vanessa Martinez, of Riverside, who was shot in a store that customers said had been robbed before.

    One customer told NBC4 that Martinez even feared for her life and had asked the owner of the store if he would install a more secure barrier around her workspace.

    She was shot allegedly by two men who were captured on surveillance camera as they stormed the store on Friday at 1 p.m. in a robbery, police said. Details about why the clerk was killed were not released. Police did not say how much money was taken.

    Police arrested two men on Saturday, a day after announcing a $10,000 reward for information uin the case. One of the suspects was identified as 43-year-old Jorge Esteban Cisneros, of Ontario.

    Police accused him of being the triggerman.

    The second person, David Mendez, 29, was arrested in Pomona.
