Performance Interrupted at the Hollywood Bowl

A performance by the band Dead & Company was abruptly interrupted Wednesday night at the Hollywood Bowl.

The interruption was caused by an unfounded bomb threat, said the County of Los Angeles and the county's department of parks and recreation in a joint statement.

Officials "immediately initiated a thorough search of the area that turned up no evidence validating the threat," the statement said, adding that Hollywood Bowl security includes law enforcement officers, explosive detections dogs and metal detectors at all entrances.

Fans reported and posted photos of the lights out during the concert.

Others reported security rushed the band off stage.

Aerial footage showed the concert still going on at around 10:30 p.m. After the scare, the concert "resumed without incident," the statement said.
