Three people were hospitalized after a pursuit Thursday that ended with a crash in the Westlake area.
A woman in her mid-20s was in critical condition after the SUV in which she was riding was involved in a head-on collision in the 2400 block of West 6th Street.
The pursuit began with a report of a kidnapping, according to police. Someone called police to report that a suspect grabbed a woman and forced her into a GMC Yukon, police said.
The suspect made a U-turn and traveled west in the eastbound lanes, authorities said. The driver then crashed head-on into an eastbound Volvo, injuring the woman in the SUV and the person driving the Volvo, police said.
The driver of the SUV was taken into custody.
