Police are searching for a man who committed a string of armed robberies in Santa Ana.
The suspect hit several small businesses located between 1st Street and 17th Street in the Santa Ana area between April 19 and Sept. 1, the Santa Ana Police Department said.
Some businesses that were robbed include two MetroPCS stores, Pan Dulce Bakery, Tri Income Tax and Gaby's Fashion.
The man is seen wearing a short-sleeve button down shirt and dark colored jeans, covering his face with a bandana. The man is described to be around 30-40 years old, medium build, with a shaved head or buzz cut, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 inches tall, 170 to 190 pounds and has a mustache.
As he enters the businesses, the suspect appears anxious and aggressively brandishes a firearm at the victims.
During one robbery, the suspect demanded money from the cashier while holding a female customer hostage at gunpoint. During another robbery, the suspect strikes a female victim on the head with a firearm while struggling for her wallet. The victim received a laceration to the head and was later taken to the hospital.
The suspect was seen exiting and entering the front passenger side of a gold or beige-colored Ford Explorer with a roof rack.
