South LA Shooting Leaves Man in Critical Condition

A man was in critical condition after he was shot in South Los Angeles early Wednesday morning, police said.

The incident began around 4:30 .m. near 41st Street and Vermont Avenue when a group of five to seven men were reportedly assaulting the victim in front of an illegitimate after-hours club, according to the LAPD.

One of the suspects shot the victim in the head. The victim stumbled down the street before collapsing, according to the LAPD.

He was transported to a hospital where he was in critical but stable condition, according to the LAPD.

Police were investigating what led up to the shooting. No arrests were reported early Wednesday.
