Timeline: Northridge Quadruple Homicide

Dec. 2, 2012: Police respond to the 17400 block of Devonshire Street in Northridge following the fatal shooting of four people.

Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012: A 911 call is made around 4:30 a.m. Four people have been shot and killed outside a home in Northridge. Watch Video

Investigators say at least eight people lived in the two-story house, Initial reports indicate the residence may be operating as an illegal boarding home. Full Story

Police locate the suspects' black Audi at the Silverton Hotel in Las Vegas. Authorities set up surveillance. Full Story

Monday, Dec. 3, 2012: Around 2 p.m., police move in and arrest Ka Pasasouk (photo), Howard Alcantara (photo), Donna Rabulan (photo) and Christina Neal (photo). News of the arrest would not be revealed for at least 24 more hours.

Family members identify the first two victims as 24-year-old Amanda Ghossein (photo) and 34-year-old Robert Calabia (photo).

Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012: The Los Angeles Police Department schedules a 10 a.m. news conference regarding the case. It is postponed. Sources inside the department tell news outlets to expect an arrest in the case.

At 4 p.m., LAPD Police Chief Charlie Beck, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and City Councilman Mitchell Englander announce the arrest of four suspects. Watch Video

Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012: The third victim is identified as 26-year-old Jennifer Kim (photo). "We hope justice will be served so that Jennifer may rest in peace," wrote family members in a statement to NBC4. Full Story

It's revealed that Pasasouk -- the alleged gunman -- was released from prison in January due to overcrowding. Watch Video

Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012: The four suspects appear in a Las Vegas courtroom and agree to extradition to LA. Full Story

The fourth and final victim of the Northridge quadruple homicide is identified as 49-year-old Teofilo Navales (photo) of Castaic. Full Story

Beck comments on Pasasouk's early release, saying "he certainly would've had an increased level of scrutiny via probation or parole absent [prison realignment]." Full Story

Friday, Dec. 7, 2012: It is revealed that Pasasouk was ordered deported to his native Laos six years ago, but it fell through when needed travel documents could not be obtained. Full Story

Monday, Dec. 10, 2012: Englander holds a special meeting on his legislation designed to crack down on unlicensed boarding homes. Full Story

The LA District Attorney’s office admits it "inadvertently erred" in striking a deal in September that allowed Pasasouk to avoid returning to prison and instead enter a drug diversion program on a charge of illegally possessing methamphetamine. Full Story
