Approximately 12,000 runners have entered Sunday's sixth annual women's-themed Tinker Bell Half Marathon through the Disneyland Resort and streets of Anaheim, organizers said.

The 13.1-mile course begins on Disneyland Drive, near Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. The runners will then run through the Disneyland Resort and take to the streets of Anaheim on Walnut Street and head north to Broadway.

The field will run east on Broadway to Anaheim Boulevard, near Anaheim City Hall, then west on Broadway, south on Harbor Boulevard to Ball Road, east to Anaheim Boulevard, south to Katella Avenue, north on Manchester Avenue, west on Disney Way and back through the Disneyland Resort. The race will end near the Disneyland Hotel.

There will be Disney characters and entertainment along the course.

Nearly 5,000 runners in the half-marathon also entered today's Tinker Bell 10K, organizers said.
