Two Suspects Sought in Armed Robbery at Hotel in Orange

Police are searching for two male suspects who allegedly held a clerk at knifepoint during an early morning robbery at a hotel in Orange on Monday.

The incident was reported at 3:30 a.m. at the Howard Johnson Inn and Suites at 1930 Katella Avenue, the Orange Police Department said.

According to police, one of the men followed the clerk into an office at the inn and held her down with a knife while the other stole a safe and a DVR that stored surveillance video.

The safe had about $300 to $500 dollars, police said.

The two men got into a light blue four-door sedan which was last seen getting on the southbound 55 Freeway at Katella, police said.

No injuries were reported.
