An unattended package at a McDonald's restaurant in Sherman Oaks forced the closure of Ventura Boulevard at mid-day Friday during the investigation.

The road was closed in the 13900 block of Ventura Boulevard. The road reopened early Friday afternoon.

Aerial video showed several squad cars and yellow police tape outside the McDonald's, which is between Woodman Avenue and Hazeltine Avenue (map).

The object was described as a discarded case. One person was taken into custody in connection with the investigation.
